Holger Scheidt is an accomplished upright and electric bass player and composer with great experience on the international scene. Scheidt has performed contemporary styles at established venues across Europe and in the US, while building a creative style all his own. Since 2008 there have been published three albums of his original work as a composer and band leader: "Half a Year in Half an Hour" (Konnex Records 2008), "Flights Falls" (Konnex Records, 2011) and “The Tides of Life” (ENJA Records, 2014)

 

Holger Scheidt had the chance to study with, among others, Joe Lovano, Matt Garrison, Kenny Werner, Dave Liebman, George Garzone, Steve Coleman, Louis Petrucciani, Horacio Fumeiro, John Lockwood...

 

Throughout his career he had the chance to work with, among others, Rich Perry, Anthony Pinciotti, Victor Gould, Gordon Au, Michel Reis, Dan Tepfer, Bene Jahnel, Guido May, Peter Ehwald, Alex Terrier, Sebastian Merk, Ross Pederson, Kristjan Randalu, Florian Menzel, Nick Anderson, Florian Hoefner...
